2008 SBNation Preseason All-Big 12 Team

Just over a month ago we announced the first ever SBNation Preseason All-Big 12 Team. We asked all of the SBNation Big 12 blogs to each select their picks for the team with one caveat, no writer was allowed to choose any player from his own. The votes are in and tallied and I am now proud to bring you the players that our network of writers think will shine at their respective positions and help shape the 2008 race to the Big 12 Championship.

Here you can check out the full selections from every participating site as well the player totals by position. Our choices were relatively close to those from the media with a few notable spots, particularly on defense. Stryker Sulak from Mizzou made the SBNation team as opposed to Brian Orakpo, but Texas got Sergio Kindle in over Joe Pawelek from Baylor. Kindle is one of the most interesting selections on the team as he didn't receive the playing time that he deserved last year and this selection is based almost soley on potential.
